

Dr. Erika Sox is the first board-certified internal medicine specialist to be practicing in the state of Hawaii. She is passionate about the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, and diseases of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, urinary, endocrine, blood and immune systems. Dr. Sox also has special interest and training in diagnosis and treatment of neurologic and heart conditions and in critical patient care. She is skilled in all endoscopic procedures and laparoscopic liver biopsy. Dr. Sox enjoys working closely with her patients owners and primary care veterinarian to provide the best and most comprehensive care, with emphasis on client communication and patient comfort.
Dr. Sox is a graduate of University of California Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a one-year internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego and went on to complete a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the number one ranked Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sox has completed the rigorous credential and testing requirements to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Following board certification, she practiced at a private specialty and referral hospital in California for several years before relocating to Hawaii with the goal of bringing previously unavailable specialty care to the islands.
