Christina Malloy

Originally from New York, Christina moved to Massachusetts in 2008 where she studied Biology and Marine Science at Boston University. After graduating, she worked in Boston at a general practice for several years where she fell in love with the human-animal bond and discovered the field of veterinary social work. Christina received her master’s in social work from Simmons College and completed her final clinical rotation at Angell Animal Medical Center. She is the first veterinary social worker at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital and joined our team in 2018.
Veterinary social work is a new and exciting field that aims to address the human needs that may arise in veterinary medicine. Christina is a resource for our clients and our staff. She is here to assist clients because we understand how difficult it can be to make decisions for our beloved companions.
When she’s not at work, Christina’s interests include traveling, trying new food, and gardening. She lives with her husband, Golden Retriever Argo, and two cats Toby and Banana.
